The opening weekend of the 2026–27 Trendyol Süper Lig season—officially designated as the Adnan Süvari Season by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF)—delivered four days of relentless intensity, thunderous stadium atmospheres, and a massive flurry of goals across Türkiye from August 14 to August 17, 2026.

With 18 teams taking the pitch for Matchweek 1, the tone for this 34-week marathon has been set with unbridled passion and tactical warfare.


👑 Champions Reign Supreme: Galatasaray 4–0 Erzurumspor FK

Reigning champions Galatasaray launched their title defense with an absolute masterclass on opening night, dismantling newly promoted Erzurumspor FK 4–0 in front of a rocking, sold-out crowd at RAMS Park.

Okan Buruk’s side showed zero signs of championship hangover. The Lions took control from the opening whistle, suffocating the visitors with high pressing and rapid-fire wing play:

With tension mounting, Fenerbahçe showed true championship grit in the final 20 minutes. A tactical shift brought late dominance, as Edin Džeko headed home a corner in the 76th minute before an injury-time strike sealed a hard-earned 4–2 victory to ignite the Sarı Kanaryalar's campaign.

The undisputed highlight of Matchweek 1 was a heavyweight blockbuster at Tüpraş Stadium, as Beşiktaş hosted regional titans Trabzonspor in a match that felt more like a late-season title decider than an opening-day fixture.

Under the glowing lights along the Bosphorus, both sides went toe-to-toe in an extremely physical, high-octane battle:


  1. First Half Warfare: Trabzonspor drew first blood in the 29th minute, capitalizing on a defensive turnover to quiet the home supporters.

  2. The Response: Beşiktaş answered back on the stroke of halftime with a sensational long-range equalizer from Rafa Silva that nearly tore the net open.
